New Pastor at Cottage Hills
Cottage Hills – The members of Cottage Hills Baptist Church are pleased and
excited to welcome Bro. Warren Brown as Pastor. He is on fire for Christ and
brings a burst of energy to our congregation.
He is following in the
footsteps of his father, Rev. Jack Brown who pastored our church from 1945 –
1949 and prior to its move to the current location at
200 N.
Williams.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree from William Jewell College, a Baptist
school in Liberty, MO. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in
Administration from SIUE. He taught school in Jerseyville for over 10 years.
Bro. Warren is also a student of Bible Prophesy and will be leading a bible
study beginning January 5, 2012, on Prophesy. He will help us to understand
how current world situations fit into the future of the church and
recognizing the signs leading up to the Second Coming of Christ.
He pastored Martin’s Prairie Baptist Church, Eldred Baptist Church, and
youth pastor of Jerseyville First Baptist Church. Additionally, he has
spoken and given musical programs at many area churches. Most recently, he
was a member of the Master’s Plan Quartet.
He and his wife Carol reside in Jerseyville and have two grown sons and 3
beautiful granddaughters.
